Mark your calendars to attend a “Dinner for 8” on Thursday, September 28, at 6:00 p.m.  All participants will receive a call indicating which host home they will be attending and what menu item they are to bring.

Greeters Appreciation Sunday
On Sunday, October 8, we will recognize and thank our greeter teams during a special coffee hour following the worship service.  Please be sure to stop and thank them for offering hospitality to church members and visitors who come to worship each Sunday.

Les Hale Memorial Concert
Dr. Les Hale was a well-known musician in the Cedar Valley.  Sadly, Dr. Hale died this past August.  Friends and family will hold a memorial concert at First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, October 22, at 2:00 p.m.  A reception will follow.

Waterloo Downtown Trick or Treat
First Presbyterian Church will participate in Waterloo’s Downtown Trick or Treat on Saturday, October 28, from 10:00rom 10:00

.  Volunteers are needed to stand at the doors of our church and hand out candy to the many children and families who will be passing by.  If you are interested, please contact Stephanie Ehlers at stephanie@1stpresby.org.

Trip to Bloomsbury Farms
Cedar Falls and Waterloo First Church families (children, youth and adults) will travel to Bloomsbury Farms in Atkins on Saturday, October 14, at 10:30 a.m.  We will enjoy the afternoon in a corn and tire maze, a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, etc.  Admission is $5.00, which is needed by October 11.  You may bring a picnic lunch.  Concessions, as well as other activities, are available but may cost extra.  If you’d like to attend, please contact the church office or Stephanie Ehlers at stephanie@1stspresby.org.

Dinner and Theater
We hope you are able to join us for a trip to the Amana Colonies and the Old Creamery Theater on Friday, November 10.  We will enjoy “The Church Basement Ladies, Rise Up O Men”.  Before attending the theater, we will enjoy a meal at the Ox Yoke Inn.  We will leave First Presbyterian Church at 4:00; dinner is at 5:30 and the show begins at 7:30.  Cost for this evening of fun and fellowship is $55 which includes dinner, gratuity and tickets to the show.  Any questions, please contact Jan Bellinger or Dan Davis.
