Small Groups

There are wonderful opportunities throughout the month for small group gatherings.  These gatherings are great way to get to know the people of First Presbyterian and further strengthen existing relationships.  If you’d like to participate, please call the church office.

Piecemakers: Quilters from around the community meet on the third Saturday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September and November) from 9:00rom 9:00

a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  Bring your fabrics, sewing machines, and cutting boards for a great time of quilting.  Beginners and quilters of all levels of experience are welcome.  A new pattern will be presented and taught each session.

Prime Timers: The Prime Timers will meet on Friday, September 15, as 12:00 noon in Calvin Hall.  Lunch will be prepared by a committee and will include sub sandwiches, soup, dessert and beverage.  The cost will be $5 per person.  Kara Miller from Silos and Smokestacks National Heritage Area will be the speaker.  All members and friends of the congregation are welcome.  If you are not on a calling list, reservations may be made by contacting Ann Sage by Tuesday, September 12.

New Beginnings Book Group:  This group meets at Cabin Coffee in Waterloo on the third Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m.  Newcomers are always welcome to join this group.  For more information, contact Mary Kabel.

Wednesday  Morning Bible Study:  Join Pastor Amy at Panera Bread in Waterloo each Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m. starting September 6, 2017, for Bible study and conversation.  The group discusses the text for the upcoming Sunday worship service.  Come for some coffee and conversation.  All are welcome!
