	David Wood- Pastor/Head of Staff  Phone: (319) 233-6145 Email: dave@1stpresby.org David is a 1985 graduate of San Francisco Theological Seminary and Drew University where he received a Ph.D in social ethics. He is a graduate of the Onondaga Pastoral Counseling Center’s two-year program in pastoral counseling. For over a decade, he pastored inner-city congregations in and around Newark, NJ before coming to central NY to become the minister at First Church in downtown Syracuse. While in Syracuse, he served on the boards of the InterReligious Council, the largest interfaith group in central New York, and the the Community-Wide Dialogue to End Racism. He has been the pastor of First Pres in Waterloo, Iowa since April, 2006. He has taught social ethics at Hawkeye Community College and currently serves on the board of the Eastside Ministerial Alliance. David loves to read, play sports, and flyfish.
	Jan Schwab- Minister of Christian Nurture Phone: (319) 233-6145 Email: jan@1stpresby.org Jan was born and raised in Waterloo and FPC is her home church.  She attended the University of Iowa and University of Northern Iowa.  She owned her own flower shop and was a florist for 25 years.  After closing the shop she was employed at FPC, Cedar Falls for 15 years as a Christian Education Specialist and Director of Youth Ministries.  Jan is an ordained Elder and served on several Presbytery Committees and was a past Moderator of the Presbytery of North Central Iowa.  She has been the Minister of Christian Nurture and Visitation since June, 2001.
	Taemin Han- Director of Music Ministries Phone:  319-233-6145 E-Mail:  taemin@1stpresby.org Taemin joined the staff of First Presbyterian Church January 1, 2012 after serving as Interim Director of Music for two months.  Taemin received his master's degrees in Piano Performance (Eastern Michigan University) and Piano Pedagogy and Choral Conducting (Michigan State University).  He served various denominations of churches (Catholic, Episcopal and Presbyterian) in Michigan until coming to Waterloo in December 2009.  Prior to coming to First Presbyterian Church, he had served Westminster Presbyterian Church in Waterloo as Director of Music Ministry. His wife, Miah Han, is serving First Congregational United Church of Christ in Waterloo as an organist.  They live with two musical children, Solomon and Grace, and a Boston Terrier puppy, Max.

	Jackie Bass- Administrative Assistant Phone: (319)233-6145 Email: jackie@1stpresby.org Jackie is a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church and resident of the Waterloo area.  After graduating from East High School, she attended Gates Business College and graduated from the Executive Secretary program.  She worked for seven years for the State of Iowa, in the Department of Human Services District Office before becoming a full-time mom.  In 1993 Jackie joined the staff of First Presbyterian Church as a part-time Christian Nurture Associate and in 1996 became the full-time Church Secretary and now Administrative Assistant.  Jackie has been a member of the Celebration Ringers Handbell Choir for over 20 years.  She enjoys quilting and spending time with her family.
	Marie Fernau - Financial Secretary Phone: (319)233-6145 E-Mail:  marie@1stpresby.org  Marie has been a member of First Presbsyterian Church since 1971.  She graduated from Jesup High School and the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Business Education.  She taught at Parkersburg High School.  After her children were born, she worked at Central Battery and then GMAC Mortgage for 25 years.  Marie joined the church staff in September 2010.  Marie has been a member of the Sanctuary Choir and Celebration Ringers Handbell Choir for over 20 years.  She enjoys quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.
